The account manager can create new users from their console.

They can create a single user or multiple users through importing a CSV file.

Roles

All users are assigned a role. Roles can be set by logging in as a teacher or admin through the Manage Users page and clicking edit next to a user. Each role gives that user different attributes.

see table.

If a teacher/admin modifies and saves a pupils app then it’s automatically set as moderated.

  1. •When looking at student apps a moderator or examiner can’t see teachers or admin’s apps. But they can see apps by other moderators or examiners.

  2. •Teachers can see other teachers apps, but not the admin’s apps.

  3. •There can only ever be one admin per school, this is the person that got the key and first signed up. Only they can add and edit teachers.

CSV Import

Watch the video

The CSV file must be correctly formatted with a new line for each student and comma “,” between each piece of information. The first line must be the names of each column. Please do not include leading or trailing spaces.

  1. •The CSV must include a column called “email” and emails must be unique to each user.

  2. •If there is a column called “name” then it will be used for the pupils name, if not then their email will be used instead. Please note you will need merge forename and surname columns in CSV files created from some sources, to a single ‘name’ column. This is easily achieved in Excel, Numbers and possible in Google Docs as well as other editors.

  3. •If there is a column called “password” that will be used for their passwords, if not then the email will be used instead.

  4. •If there is a column called “group” then this will be used for the pupil’s group, if not this will be left blank.

  5. •If there is a column called “role” then this will be the person’s role, it can only be “pupil” or “moderator”.

  6. •If there is no “role” column then all new users will be set to “pupil”.
