(Q) Loosing frames
Some users of ProAnimate have reported loosing frames, not something we had been able to repeat in house, our engineers have now identified a scenario where it might be possible for a user to find that some of their frames become 'white', i.e. the original has been deleted. A situation can arise, in very exceptional circumstances, whereby unsaved original frames unbeknown to the user, may become deleted, although the preview frames may still appear in the timeline. Only when they reload the file or try to export the finished animation will this manifest and become visible to the user as white/blank frames.
We would advise all users of ProAnimate to update their software using the 'in application' update mechanism, i.e. running ProAnimate and then from the Pro nimate menu select, 'Check for Updates'. The download page also has the very latest version.
(Q)Using Pro Animate on Mac OS X 10.5.6
If you are running Mac OS X 10.5.6 and you plan to shoot with a Canon DSLR, then you must update to Mac OS X 10.5.7
Apple introduced a bug in 10.5.6 such that any software that connects to Live view from a DSLR camera causes slowness and crashing.
This does not effect video cameras or USB webcams.
This issue has been fixed in 10.5.7 and is not a problem with Pro Animate.
