
I Can Animate will work with a USB webcam (drivers should be installed if supplied with camera) or a firewire DV camera (you may need to purchase a firewire card for your computer). Cameras should be plugged in and switched to record mode in the case of DV cameras before launching I Can Animate.
More recent DV cameras do no have a firewire port. The manufacturers no longer supply a live view feed through USB and we are therefore unable to control the capture of a picture. A few manufactures still have available fire wire DV cameras.
Digital Still cameras, unfortunately manufacturers no longer produce cameras that we are able to control remotely in order to capture a picture.
DSLR cameras - Not supported in I Can Animate.
A range of High Definition web cameras are now appearing on the market and these are ideal for use with I Can Animate.
We are recommending the aGent V5 as its features and picture quality are ideal for use with I Can Animate.
