Powerful Printing Options

Printing options
Enlarge:Printing options'

Options allow trees to be tiled across many pages to create a large wall display, or printed continuously* as a banner.

Items can be printed separately from the tree, creating an additional resource that can be used away from the computer

* Banner printing requires a printer which supports this feature.

Reviews

"This is an extremely versatile program and can be used to support work in both numeracy and science. It certainly provoked some lively discussions among my Year 2 pupils and led to some further work developing questioning skills."

– Nursery World

"...Ask Oscar is quick and easy to use and, as a result, can be used with younger children, wary teachers or as an activity in many subject lessons ranging from music to science."

– Times Educational Supplement

"...the small group (mixed in ability) were motivated and became more enthusiastic as they visually saw the tree growing. As this happened they became more confident in their questioning techniques. Ask Oscar has the ability to stimulate children with regard to data handling, at the end of each session the children were asked what their opinions were. Their response, 'Cool we really enjoyed that can we use it again?' A brilliant piece of software and the end result prints well."

– Carol Walton, ICT Coordinator
Derwent Lower School, Henlow, Bedfordshire

"We have been very pleased with the Ask Oscar program - so much easier to use than our previous program. Ask Oscar provides an excellent, clear visual representation of how a branching database works. With the help of 'Oscar', creating and testing a branching database couldn't be simpler. The facility for adding new picture sets makes it possible to address individual needs. We have used the program to great effect with a whiteboard and projector for whole-class teaching. This is the first program which has enabled us to successfully fulfil the criteria for Unit 4C branching databases at KS 2."
