You will need to follow the instructions outlined in this pdf file. Instead of choosing the iMage webcam from the list, choose the name of the camera that you have plugged in. At the moment you will need to do this each time you start up I Can Animate.

Regardless of whether you already own the latest version of QuickTime:
Go to Apple's QuickTime Download web site and download the latest version of QuickTime, after installing, restart your Macintosh. This has been found previously to eliminate this difficulty.
It has been confirmed that iMovie 4 (and earlier) will only open a project with a filename no longer than 20 characters. Apple have fixed this problem with iMovie HD.
When installing and registering the software you need to have administrator access. Make sure you are logged on as an administrator, or user with administrator access, and then register.
