
I Can Animate will work with a USB webcam (drivers should be installed if supplied with camera) and firewire DV camera (you may need to purchase a firewire card for your computer). Cameras should be plugged in and switched to record mode in the case of DV cameras before launching I Can Animate.
More recent DV cameras do no have a firewire port. The manufacturers no longer supply a live view feed through USB and we are therefore unable to control the capture of a picture.
Digital Still cameras, again functionality in these cameras from a remote control point of view, has been changed by the manufacturers and we are again no longer able to control capture through these devices.
A range of High Definition web cameras are now appearing on the market and these are ideal for use with I Can Animate.
