
.PDF files - network Install Folders PC
Our PC installation CDs have both a Network and CC3 network folders for those wishing to install the software through a network.
The Network folder contains a .PDF file. This is not an Adobe PDF file and can not be viewed.
The file is a Microsoft Package definition file that contain scripts that you can use to help automate package creation with Configuration Manager 2007. They provide the essential information that Configuration Manager 2007 needs to distribute a particular type of file, except for the location of package source files. Each package definition file is an ASCII text file following a standard .ini file format.
To deploy using Active Directory, you will require an MST file containing the registration details for your application
This will ensure you do not need to visit each machine on the network to register the software after installation.You need to generate an .MST (Microsoft Transform) file so that your registration details are copied to the client machines as part of the installation process.
